When my former Palo Alto College student, Paul Anthony Ramos, asked me to be on his podcast, Generation Latino, I was delighted to accept.
During my 22 years at Palo Alto College, I taught thousands of students, but Paul is one who stands out. I truly don’t think I’ve ever met someone with such a bright aura. Even as a 19-year-old young adult, Paul’s warmth, can-do spirit and sparkle was evident.
Hands-on learning
When we traveled during Maymester 2012 (a three-week semester after the spring semester) to Washington, D.C., and New York City with his fellow Communication majors for a Learning Adventure, Paul soaked up and appreciated every experience, including his first Broadway show. (In the Maymester photo, Paul is seated on the right-hand side, wearing a green VIVA VERDE t-shirt.)
It’s no surprise to me that after Paul graduated from Palo Alto College with his associate’s degree, he graduated from Texas State University with his bachelor’s. While working full-time, he completed his master’s degree in non-profit management from Our Lady of the Lake University. Law school is next!
Generation Latino podcast
It was an honor to visit with Paul, wrapping up his second season of Generation Latino. I hope you enjoy listening to the interview as much as I enjoyed answering Paul’s excellent questions.
